The Automatic Maintenance settings screen also allows you to manually select which items AVG TuneUp deletes during Automatic Maintenance. If you do not want to run automatically, you can just turn off this option.
To enable Automatic Maintenance, go to Menu ▸ Settings ▸ Automatic Maintenance and click the red (OFF) slider so that it changes to green (ON). It will not affect any of the required system files.
